Your Story is Written

God has written your story.

Your whole life, your moves, your considerations, your steps -- all written and known by the One who is the beginning and the end.

If we don't know this, we want to compare each other's steps from one another. Oh, she has a boyfriend before I do? I need a boyfriend now. Oh, she has new boots? I need to upgrade mine. We fight and compare in our own heads thinking up ways to live the same life that was written for somebody else. We think they moved too fast or we didn't move fast enough -- that's not always the case.

The word says that man makes plans but God makes his steps. He chooses our pace.

Don't you love to hear stories? How boring would it be to hear the same story over and over again from people, or to have experienced the same things over and over again? We don't want to hear the same things again yet we want to live things again for others.

Embrace your unique story, look for the places that God had His hands in. (Trust me, He is everywhere!)

He plans. God is never surprised by our circumstances because He knew they were coming -- therefore He has a plan!

Of course, there is such a thing as free will (which God planned for us to have since the beginning). How we choose to live is up to us. But we only get to live this life once, how will you choose to live it?

We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
— Proverbs 16:9

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
— Psalm 139:16

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
— Revelation 22:13

And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die."
— Genesis 2:16-17
