Plans for Good

I keep a specific journal for my hopes and dreams. I love this journal. It reminds me to keep dreaming, it encourages me not to give up on my hopes and dreams, and it reminds me of God's faithfulness, His grace, and to have grace for myself. It's good to keep those precious ideas and thoughts in a safe place; a place where you can turn to whenever you need the encouragement to keep going, to keep believing.

It's in this journal where I wrote this reflection:

There are safe places in this world. God created it, He saw it as good.
Sin then entered -- sin isn't good, but God created a good world. Though sin tries to choke out the beauty of His creation, Jesus's blood redeemed beautiful places and people.
God is our refuge. I feel that He would have taken us from this world a long time ago if His refuge couldn't be found here.
I believe in His plans for us and I trust Him. While we're here, on this Earth, it's because good is coming -- since His plans aren't to harm us, but for our good.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

Currently, we are living through a time of uncertainty, but we don't need to lose hope. God has a plan for good, to give us a future, and to give us hope.
